COR — Certificate of Recognition — is the standard for safety management in Alberta's construction industry. It is not self-reported and it is not a one-time checklist. It requires an independently audited Workplace Health & Safety Management System that governs how a company manages safety across all operations and job sites.

Analog Mechanical earned COR certification through Alberta's Partnership in Injury Reduction (PIR) program and maintains it through annual external audits. Each year, an independent auditor reviews our safety documentation, interviews our people, and confirms our system is operating as documented — not just on paper.

Before Work Begins

• — Site-specific safety plan prepared and reviewed

• — Tool and equipment inspection documented
• — Emergency response procedures communicated to all crew

Daily Practice

• — Toolbox talks conducted with documented participation
• — Field-level hazard assessment for each day's tasks

Incident Management

• — Every incident — no matter how minor — documented and investigated
• — Root cause analysis completed for all reportable events

Ongoing Program

Field-Led Safety Culture

Every journeyperson on an Analog Mechanical project holds a Red Seal certificate — the highest trade qualification in Canada. Project management oversight is provided through Gold Seal certified project managers. This means the people making decisions in the field and in the office both understand the work and the risk.
